About My Practice

I have been practicing as a mental health counselor for over a decade. Prior to practicing in Boise, I worked in St. Louis, Missouri for two years in the field of Social Work after graduating with a Master of Social Work degree from Washington University. Throughout my career I have worked with numerous populations in a variety of settings. I currently focus my counseling practice on adults (18 and up) who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and/or PTSD.

The treatment modality that informs my practice is EMDR Therapy, however my style is influenced by many theories including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Mindfulness.  My model consists of a short-term, goal-specific approach.   If you are seeking a therapist who practices long-term, open-ended talk therapy, I can provide you with referrals.

The following are my areas of focus; if your needs fall outside of my scope of practice, I am happy to provide referrals to therapists who can better meet your needs.
